Authentic Lacto-Fermented Kimchi Workshop
Kimchi is one of Korea’s most famous traditional fermented foods and has been enjoyed for centuries as part of everyday meals. Authentic kimchi is made through natural lactic acid fermentation, developing its rich flavor while cultivating beneficial lactic acid bacteria.
Today, kimchi is recognized around the world alongside yogurt, kefir, natto, and tempeh as one of the fermented foods that may help support a healthy gut microbiome.
Why Has Kimchi Become So Popular?
- Supports Gut Health
Naturally fermented kimchi contains beneficial lactic acid bacteria that may help support a balanced gut microbiome. - Rich in Vitamins and Minerals
Kimchi is naturally rich in vitamins such as Vitamin C and Vitamin A, along with a variety of essential minerals. - High in Dietary Fiber
Made primarily from vegetables, kimchi provides dietary fiber that may help support healthy digestion. - Low in Calories
Kimchi is flavorful while remaining relatively low in calories, making it an excellent addition to a healthy lifestyle. - Experience the Art of Natural Fermentation
Making kimchi yourself allows you to experience the fascinating process of lactic acid fermentation while creating a flavor that reflects your own taste.
Although kimchi is widely available in supermarkets, many commercially produced products are made primarily for convenience and shelf life rather than traditional natural fermentation. By making your own kimchi, you can choose high-quality ingredients and experience authentic fermentation from start to finish.
In this workshop, you will learn how to make authentic, naturally lacto-fermented kimchi with confidence. We will cover ingredient selection, seasoning, the principles of lactic acid fermentation, and practical tips for successful fermentation at home.
Whether you are completely new to fermentation or already have experience, this workshop is designed to be enjoyable, practical, and educational.
